LIPPY PEANUT BUTTER

I was challenged to create a package design that was ecologically-friendly and solved a problem for the consumer. So, I devised a peanut butter jar made of three perforated cardboard sections. This design solves one consumer problem and two ecological problems:

  1. The perforated sections enable consumers to tear down the packaging as they go through it, allowing for easy and thorough cleaning of
    the jar.

  2. The ability to clean the jar thoroughly makes the jar easier to recycle.

  3. Even if the jar isn’t recycled, it will degrade much faster in landfills because it’s made of cardboard, rather than plastic.
